Christmas Vacation | Couple Shoot | Aspen, CO | Stan + Ivy

Its the most wonderful time of the year and what better place to spend your holiday vacation than in the heart of Aspen, Colorado. Nestled high in the Rocky Mountains, Aspen is known for its famous four ski areas: Aspen Mountain, Aspen Highlands, Snowmass and Buttermilk, well its famous for skiing.

Meet my clients Stan + Ivy husband and wife who are originally from the Manila, Philippines and are currently residing in Houston, Texas. They are both nurses serving in the front line to help those who are in need especially during this pandemic and I am very grateful for all of the hard work they are doing. Stan + Ivy both took some time off of work to spend the holiday together and what better place to do that than here in Aspen, Colorado. Ivy contacted me and she asked about my services and we kept in contact through email and texting about the planning.

As it gets close to the day of when they fly out, I followed up with her to make sure that our photoshoot is going as planned. She said yes, they just arrived to Denver International Airport and this was on Sunday. Plus, she asked me for recommendations of places to do their photoshoot. Originally they wanted to go to the Maroon Bells, but with the weather it was snowing bad up there and the access to Maroon Bells is close. The only way to access that place is either snowboarding, skiing or snowmobiling which I relayed to her and gave her pricing on snowmobiling, because she asked about it. I recommended the Paecke Park and the North Start Preservation. But than I found the "John Denver Sanctuary" which is gorgeous anytime of the year, especially during the summer where you will be able to see the beautiful garden and all of the quotes and song lyrics on the rocks by, John Denver.

On the day of the photoshoot I finally got to meet my clients and we all clicked right away. I had so much fun photographing Stan + Ivy and we got to know each other. It was there first time here in Aspen, Colorado and they love it, plus with the snow it makes everything beautiful.

I'm grateful for the opportunity that I got to be able to capture these memory for them so they can remember their trip to Aspen. Its a beautiful place, especially with the snow and Christmas you can easily feel the holiday spirit.
